Solar Craftsperson

Emma Welland joined Sugar Hollow Solar in the spring of 2025 as a Solar Craftsperson, inspired by the opportunity to combine her passion for electrical work with a mission focused on sustainability. With a background in outdoor education and extensive hardware experience, Emma brings both technical skill and a love for hands-on work to the team.

In her role, Emma supports the physical installation of solar arrays, including racking setup and module placement. She’s especially excited to be learning about cutting-edge energy management systems and believes that smart, efficient use of power generation and storage will play a key role in solving today’s energy challenges.

Outside of work, Emma enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, surfing, and sailing—skills honed over six summers as a sailing instructor. Described as bright, loving, and adventurous, she brings strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to every project, helping the team plan and execute installs with precision and care.
