Asheville FM Presents: Voices III — Women for Climate and the Environment

  • Rainbow Community School Auditorium 60 State Street Asheville, NC, 28806 United States (map)

Sugar Hollow Solar is proud to sponsor Voices III: Women for Climate and the Environment, an inspiring community gathering hosted by Asheville FM.

Now in its third year, the Voices series brings together powerful women leaders, climate advocates, and artists to explore the intersections of sustainability, nature, activism, and wellbeing.

This year’s theme—Women for Climate and the Environment—centers women’s voices in the ongoing effort to build a more just, resilient, and regenerative world. Expect bold stories, moving art, and transformative dialogue on topics ranging from environmental justice to mental health and climate resilience.

🌿 Featured Speakers:

  • Julie Mayfield – NC Senator & Senior Policy Advisor for MountainTrue

  • Ann Rose – Off-grid farmer & environmental activist

  • Selin Nurgün – Somatic coach & climate justice educator

  • Sara Russell – Operations Manager at Food Connection

🎨 Featured Artists:

  • Hannah Rothstein – Climate artist

  • Kira Burskey – Visual artist, filmmaker & founder of All Around Artsy

Plus: an interactive Climate Graffiti Wall, community partners, and opportunities to take action with local changemakers.

🌀 Proceeds from this event benefit River Arts District Artists (RADA) and Swannanoa Communities Together (SCT)—two grassroots organizations leading post-Hurricane Helene recovery work.

This is more than a speaker series—it’s a space for community healing, creative expression, and bold imagining. Whether you're new to climate conversations or a long-time advocate, Voices III is a powerful space to connect, reflect, and move forward together.
